The figure of God, in the view of every religion, should be known by everyone so that there is no wrong perception and as a form of tolerance between religious communities. Meanwhile, religion is a teaching or system that regulates one’s belief and worship in God Almighty and the rules relating to human interaction and the environment. Every religion worships and believes in the teachings contained in the holy book.
The relationship between a human and God is a personal relationship. And to cultivate this relationship requires faith. It is faith that is able to keep us firm on the concept of God that we believe in and worship in this life.
Here is the concept of God in various religions:
–Islam
According to Islamic teachings, God is called Allah and is believed to be the real and One Supreme Essence, the All-Powerful and All-Knowing Creator, the Eternal, the Determinant of Destiny, and the Judge of the universe. The word Allah in the Qur’an is a special designation and does not belong to any other word besides Him, because only God Almighty has the right to bear that name. The oneness of God can be proven by three main points, namely the reality of visible form, the feeling that exists in the human soul, and logical arguments. The reality of the existence that is seen in the Qur’an uses all forms of evidence, especially the existence of the universe with all its contents.
–Christianity
In Christianity, the concept of divinity is found in the Trinity, namely God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Where Jesus Christ is seen as God because it is believed that Jesus is the Word made flesh. The concept of the divinity of these two religions is actually the same, but Catholicism still respects and upholds Saints and Saints (Saints).
–Hindu religion
God in Hinduism is said to be Brahman and Sang Hyang Widhi. In addition, the essence of divinity in Hinduism is the One God. However, the divine system is coordinated around the Trimurti concept. The Trimurti itself is divided into three attributes, namely Brahman, Vishnu, and Shiva. The gods were then depicted in vivid forms for the purpose of worship.
