Flowering plants produce flowers and use seeds to reproduce or create more plants similar to themselves.

Flowering plants, also known as angiosperms, are the most numerous division of the Plant Kingdom. A flowering plant’s parts are divided into two basic systems: the root system and the shoot system. The vascular tissue that runs from the root to the shoot connects these two systems. Flowering plants rely on their root systems to obtain water and nutrients from the soil. Plants can reproduce and obtain food through photosynthesis thanks to the shoot system.
